This combination safari which caters for some nights luxury camping and some nights lodging, is ideal for those who want to experience real wilderness and remote places
with the adventure that goes with it.

General information on what to expect on your safari.

The ideal time of the year for this safari is from April until November.

LODGING – VERY COMFORTABLE EN-SUITE ACCOMMODATION IN SPACIOUS 
SAFARI TENTS AND OR THATCHED CHALETS.
CAMPING – CANVAS IGLOO DOME TENTS ( SLEEPS 2 AND IS 2.5 X 2.5 X 2 M) 
- LUXURY AND EXCELLENT CAMPING EQUIPMENT LIKE GLASS GLASSES 
- FOR WINE & EXCELLENT CROCKERY AND UTENSILS 
- TABLES / CHAIRS AND SAFARI BASINS
- ALL BEDDING WHICH INCLUDES TOWELS, PILLOWS, SLEEPING BAGS AND MATTRASSES.

MEALS – DINNERS AND BREAKFASTS ONLY.
Dinners will be 4 course meals with no tin food.
Breakfasts consist out of Juice, home made rusks, fruit, jogurt 
With coffee and tea. 


We have Land Rover vehicles only and take a maximum of 10 people on this specific safari. 
The only assistance we need from the clients when camping, is to put up and brake down the camps when camping. Window seating guaranteed.

YOUR 16 DAY ITINERARY:


Day 1. 
Arrive at Windhoek International airport from where you will be picked up. Leave for your lodge in the Khomas Highlands. (about an hour from the airport ) Time to rest out after your flight. Late afternoon game drive in an open game drive vehicle. ( The children will love this and it will bring you in the Africa feeling. Dinner at the lodge. ( Lodging ).

Day 2. 
Today, your journey takes you to the Kalahari. It is a beautiful environment with the red sand dunes of the Kalahari covered with Camelthorn trees, bush and bushman gras. Camping tonight. The place is near the Botswana border. Enough time to wander around. Enough space for the children etc. 

Day 3.
Today, you leave for Botswana. The journey takes you via Ghanzi town into the Kalahari. Camping tonight. The camp will be in a remote area where you will probably see no other people etc. Sit around a huge fire and listen to the night sounds.

Day 4. 
Another day in the Kalahari. After some adventurous drives through sandy roads. You will put up camp somewhere in the wilderness. Camping.

Day 5. 
Today, you will heading for mankwe Tented Camp near the Moremi national Park. Excitement starts as far as wildlife is concern. We shall fuel up in Maun as well as stock up food and drinks wise. 

Day 6. 
Leave into the park itself. Game drives all day long. Adventure and wild. 2 track roads all the time. A 1 hour boatride deeper into the delta is part of the excursions today. In the late afternoon, you will leave back to Mankwe Tented Camp.

Day 7. 
Another day at this camp. Leave for Moremi National Park for game drives etc.

Day 8. 
More excitement is lying ahead as you will leave for the Chobe. Your lodge is situated on the edge of the well known Chobe river. A wonderful setting. Today will be your longest drive in time – not in distance. 2 track sandy roads – very exciting. 8 – 9 hours. En route you might and will see several game species like elephants and many other different species. Lodging tonight.

Day 9. 
B’fast, leave on a game drive along the Chobe river. This is always a rewarding drive and you will see hundreds of elephants, hippos and antelope species. Back at the lodge after lunch where you can have a short rest or take a dip in the swimming pool. At around 16:00, you will leave on a boat cruise on the Chobe river. You will end the day with a nice big barbecue while looking on the Chobe river. Lodging tonight.

Day 10. 
Leave back to Namibia after breakfast. It is time to camp again. In Horse Shoe area. The Kwando river that forms the border between the East and the west Caprivi makes a horse Shoe bend and therefore the name. It is wilderness area again and offers wonderful wildlife opportunities.

Day 11. 
Another day here to experience real africa again. Sandy roads, Kwando river. Change to see hundreds of elephants, buffaloes, cats etc. etc. Boat trip on the Kwando river.

Day 12. 
Leave after b’fast for Poppa Falls ( rapids ) It is in the panhandle where the Okavango delta starts. A Late afternoon game drive in the under estimated Mahango National Park. Overnight in wooden chalets with outside facilities. Restaurant dinner and breakfast. 

Day 13. 
Leave for the adventurous Kaudum National Park. It is again not a long drive in distance, but in time. Camping tonight with shower and toilet fascilities ( if the elephants have’nt broken it down !) Camping at Sikaretti. Hyenas like to visit the camp at night. The drive between the 2 camps. Is very exciting and is along the Omurambas (dry river beds). Several different game species can be seen along this drive that will take 8 hours, including all stops etc. Sit around a huge fire and enjoy the silence of the night and listen to the sounds of the hyenas and nearby elephants. This is the area where hundreds of elephants in 1 herd can be seen. 

Day 14. 
You leave after breakfast via Tsumkwe for Grootfontein. This is back to Civilization. Fuel up and leave for Kamrav Guest Farm. Very nice and friendly hosts. The Guest farm is manage by the owners. A wonderful dinner with good cuisine to expected.

Day 15. 
After a nice breakfast, you will leave for Windhoek. Time of 
arrival is at about 13:00. It depends on your flight 
departure time. Wander around in our clean city
and leave for the airport. Ends off with a light lunch in the 
city at a nice cosy place.
