Day 1.
Arrive at Whk Int. Airport. Depends on your time of arrival. Leave from the airport to a safari lodge - 250 km from the capital. Your journey takes you through beautiful farmland area where there is always the possibility to see wildlife such as oryx, zebras, kudu etc. You will also get an idea of cattle farming in Namibia as your drive takes you via several cattle farms. Arrival is at about lunch time. After lunch you will have time to take a rest, enjoy homemade cake and coffee, followed by a 3 hour game drive, followed by a wonderful "boma" dinner, around a huge fire. Real African cuisine.
Day 2.
After b'fast, we shall leave for the North Eastern part of the country. Lodge tonight at Roy's Camp. Interesting chalets with artistic decor. Enjoy a wonderful dinner. In the late afternoon, you can sit watch the wild animals from your chalet.
Day 3.
B'fast, and leave for Poppa Falls (start of the Okavango delta - panhandle ). Put up camp on the edge of the Okavango river. Late afternoon game drive in the nearby Mahango game park. Listen to the Hoppos at night.
Day 4.
Today, your journey takes you to the Caprivi Region. It is a 2 hour's drive on tar road. We shall put up camp at a wonderful place near Horseshoe area. This is elephant country. Wild and adventurous. Our camp will be next to the Kwando river. The Kwando River makes a Horse Shoe bend and therefore the name. Again the night sounds are always so rewarding.
Day 5.
Another day here to relax - visit the Mundumu Game Park. Listen to the different sounds. (hippos / lions / elephants / Fish eagle). We take it easy today. Explore the area. Visit a nearby craft centre.
Day 6.
Today, we leave for Botswana. The famous Chobe River is a 3 hours drive away. Gamedrive along the Chobe River - accommodation at the Chobe Safari Lodge. This is exciting stuff. The Chobe never lets you down. Wonderful barbecue in the open - overlooking the Chobe River to end the day.
Day 7.
Late b'fast - morning game drive along the Chobe River. Back at the lodge over lunch time - leisure time - take a swim in the pool. Late afternoon boat trip on the Chobe River which is always very rewarding. Dinner at the lodge. Overnight at the same lodge tonight.
Day 8.
Leave for the well known Savuti. Many wildlife documentaries were made in this area. Elephant country again. Late afternoon game drive in the area. Listen to the night sounds while sitting around a huge fire or watch the hyenas coming close to the camp.
Day 9.
Today, we shall leave for the Moremi National Park. This is the nearest one can get to the delta by car. Camp at either 3 rd Bridge or Xaxanaxa. Lion country. During the day we shall explore the area and do game drives. Camping tonight.
Day 10.
Another day in this specific park. Game drives all day long. Take It easy. Camping tonight again.
Day 11.
Leave for Nata Lodge. Tented lodge with en suite facilities. We shall visit the Sowa Pans in the late afternoon for a great sunset. These pans are occasionally filled with water after heavy rains during December to end of March. They might be dry a, but never the less, always exciting.
Day 12.
Leave for Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Book in at your private lodge. Wonderful setting. Afternoon at leisure. BASIS IN VICTORIA FALLS B & B ONLY.
Day 13.
B'fast - leave for the falls itself. The visit takes about 2 - 3 hours. ( US$ 20 00 P.P ) Wander around in this touristy town. In the late afternoon you will go on a Wonderful boat cruise on the mighty Zambesi River. ( US$ 35 00 P.P (4th largest river in Africa with a total length of 2200 km). Drinks and a light meal are included on the cruise, which will take you for a sunset cruise of about 3 hours. This wonderful excursion will be followed by a nice dinner at the "boma"
( place of eating). Here you can order from warthog to crocodile etc. Also wonderful traditional dances. Overnight at the same lodge tonight. ( costs for the boma dinner US$ 35 - 00 )
Day 14.
Late b'fast - Go for some last shopping at the wooden crafts market. Leave for the airport for your flight to Johannesburg.
